Don Marquis wished that he wanted to do something as badly as that moth wanted to fry itself on that light bulb. The first suicide attack (an accident) was on June 19th 1944, the last, one hour after the surrender. The Commander committed suicide after predicting an era of world peace and prosperity for Japan in a farewell speech on the radio.
