The Cold Mountain Show 1974-2010
'THE COLD MOUNTAIN SHOW', a stage work, written in 1974 is based on a character from Chinese poetry. This hermit poet of the 8th century returns to this modern world as a prophet and social reformer, buffoon and hero. The pantomime became a long short story and later a comic strip. The set designs work as illustrations for the stories and also as section pages for the strip.
The hermit poet’s name was HanShan but he took up the name of his retreat - 'Cold Mountain'.
